A Love Beyond Borders: Morgan & Rohan in Mexico City
We were looking for wedding venues that felt both elegant and rich in history, and Palacio exceeded every expectation. One of the things we loved most was its variety of beautiful spaces, which allowed us to host both our Hindu and Christian ceremonies in a way that honored each tradition individually while still creating a cohesive and seamless wedding day.

Having two wedding ceremonies in one day is definitely not for the faint of heart! We felt every emotion imaginable—from overwhelming excitement to nervous anticipation. It was exhausting, exhilarating, and completely unforgettable.
For our Hindu ceremony, we envisioned a romantic garden-inspired setting. Our mandap was adorned with lush greenery and abundant white florals, creating a soft, timeless atmosphere that felt both intimate and elegant. For our Christian ceremony, we carried the same floral palette throughout the design to create continuity, while adding candles and mirrored pedestals to enhance the romance and create a more ethereal ambiance.
Our reception took place at the breathtaking MIDE, a historic venue with incredible architectural beauty. Rather than competing with the space, we wanted to enhance it by incorporating romantic floral arrangements, cascading greenery, and floating candles that complemented its timeless character. To celebrate both of our cultures, we served a menu featuring Indian and Mexican cuisine, allowing our guests to experience flavors that were meaningful to us. One of our favorite design elements was our first dance on a striking black-and-white geometric dance floor, which brought a modern touch to the historic setting.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was a surprise dance that my friends and I performed, a tradition often seen at Hindu weddings. Keeping it a secret from everyone—especially our families—was incredibly difficult, but seeing the joy and surprise on everyone's faces made it absolutely worth it. It became one of those unforgettable moments we'll cherish forever.
